Every day brings new patients and new challenges that push nurses to their limits in different ways. Even if patients have similar conditions, each has a different emotional state and life situation. Web5-5:30 (on a good day) is report from days, rounding on patients after we get done to introduce the oncoming shift and taking care of any immediate issues (pain, questions, problems that need a doctor call.) Meds usually come due at 6,8,10, 12. I don't usually have meds between 12 and 6 that are scheduled, just PRNs.
