As stated the degradation state of the battery over a 3 year period is negligible at best stopping the charging or not. As mentioned if someone is expecting to keep a device for 5 plus years, then the difference gets greater. Otherwise the default behavior to slow down charging at 80% that windows 11 has built in is just fine.
